JUNE 15, 2021 ~ David LeGros, Algonquin Park Naturalist, talked about about snapping turtles and some of the findings of the long-term turtle research project that takes place in Algonquin. David shared some insight into the lives of these misunderstood creatures and why we should all want to protect them.
David is the chief park naturalist for Algonquin provincial Park. He is interested in wildlife of all kinds but has a real soft spot for those with hard shells. David has studied many kinds of reptiles and amphibians in Ontario, and dedicated a significant part of his career to educating the citizens of the province on these amazing animals and encouraging their conservation and the places they live. He lives in Huntsville.
