Why we do it

  • Invasive species are non-native plants and animals capable of establishing quickly and outcompeting native species due to a lack of natural predators
  • Our staff and Land Stewards monitor for invasive species, and if they are discovered plans are established quickly, identifying the best management practices for the species
  • We call on the Invasive Species Squad to assist with the physical removal of invasive plants to prevent further spread and allow native species to thrive.

*Training on how to identify invasive species and proper removal techniques will be provided.
