Growing up in Muskoka led Jenna White to cherish nature and recognize the importance of ecological protection in fostering a sustainable future. In channeling her passion for the environment, Jenna graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and obtained a Master’s in Environmental Studies from Nipissing University in 2021 with the President’s Gold Award for highest standing. Between her degrees, she participated in the Canadian Conservation Corps, a program parented by the Canadian Wildlife Federation to connect young people with conservation initiatives across the country, followed by an internship at the United Nations Office at Geneva, Switzerland in the Environment Division of the United Nations Economic Commission of Europe. Jenna is presently a Program Development Coordinator at the Invasive Species Centre, an environmental non-for-profit organization aimed at protecting Canada’s lands and waters from invasive species. In her spare time, Jenna is an avid runner and spends nearly every weekend hiking, skiing, or camping. She also enjoys volunteering at Turtle Pond Wildlife Centre outside of Sudbury.
