Peter Love has been active in environmental and energy policy for more than 50 years. While at university in the late 60’s, he became one of the founding members of Pollution Probe and participated in their first public event, “The Burial of the Don River”. His first full time job was at Pollution Probe as part of the team that developed the concept of the 3 R’s: “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”. It was at this time that he married into a family that had been cottaging in Muskoka for over 100 years and has been loving looking after the family cottage ever since. After setting up and running both advocacy and for profit energy service companies, he was appointed Ontario’s Chief Energy Conservation Officer to promote a culture of conservation. During his career, he has served on various boards including the Muskoka Lakes Association and the Canadian Coalition on Acid Rain, serving as Chair of six. He has an MBA and ICD.D . Peter chairs the Finance Committee of the Board.
