Longline Lake Conservation Easement
The Longline Lake Conservation Easement is an excellent example of mature northern forested habitat with a natural shoreline. The trees growing on the property are of substantial maturity – specifically hemlock and beech trees which are important food sources for wildlife. The property is home to a variety of birds and mammals, and also displays a show of wildflowers in the spring and summer seasons.
The property has remained almost completely undisturbed by human activity for a number of years prior to the easement agreement. The agreement was made to maintain the land in its natural state, particularly the mature forest.
