Project Protect is our Citizen Science initiative, aimed at increasing our knowledge of the properties we currently own and protect. In our pilot year, 2018, we managed to run bird and amphibian surveys on two different properties, the Upjohn Nature Reserve and the Bert Cross Family Nature Reserve. This year we're hoping to increase the program to include seven different Muskoka Conservancy properties. Each of these properties will have a team to monitor frogs as well as a team to monitor birds. This means we need more volunteers! No experience is necessary, as we'll be running training events in January and February. All you need is a love for nature and a desire to help protect Muskoka.
